Dance with me, Daddy! | Father-Daughter dance | Portland photographer

Is there anything sweeter than a dad with his daughter? My family, along with a four other families decided that putting on a father-daughter dance would be the perfect fundraiser for our school. It worked out great, most of the girls stayed right up until the last dance. It was a good mix of dancing with daddy and playing with the other girls….oh, and licking a bit of pastel frosting from the top of a baby cupcake.

We just had to capture the moment and freeze the night with photography…..

I loved the idea of the classic “step up on my feet and I’ll teach you the steps” shot. I’m so glad that so many dads went along with my ideas!

And of course my own daughter had to wear cowboy boots!

Thanks for looking and go swoop up your own daughter for a quick dance! She will love it!

Denise - oh my goodness, Jen, I really LOVE these shots! Especially the shots of daughter looking up at daddy, twirling, and the one with the balloons and polka dot dress. And the daddy-daughter sandwich, with one daughter on each of daddy’s cheeks. And, and… You caught some great moments. Love the expressions, interactions, and emotions you captured.
