Little bird….that was the nickname that the mom of this newborn gave this little guy. So appropriate for a new baby when you think of the way they open their mouths when they’re hungry and the little noises they make. It was very endearing.
Sweet O is a little old for a newborn shoot, I like to get them in the first 10 days after birth and he was just shy of a month, but he was a sweetie! I’m not sure I heard him cry at all, just a happy little man. He wasn’t too sleepy, but we were able to make the most of it when he did drift off.
I’m showing a larger sneak peek than normal, they have family traveling internationally and want to be sure they are able to see plenty here.
The parents love black and whites for newborns, just like I do, but I had to include at least one in color to show those gorgeous eyes.

They had a beautiful, reclaimed wood dining table, we had to use it!
O’s dad was in a great band a few years ago, and I loved his idea to place his baby on this huge amp! Dad actually had lots of good ideas for posing, a good eye for sure. And don’t worry, baby O was perfectly safe, with any shot like this I make sure to have their parents’ hands on them and I edit them out when needed.
One last for fun…..these silly ones always seem to be my favorites!!! Thanks guys!
