15 years

I waited patiently as the procession started, my turn was coming soon. Then it was time…I held onto my father’s outstretched arm and started the walk down the aisle to my new life. Then it came to an abrupt halt. We both stopped and turned around, confused. The friends and family looked on, thinking “runaway bride?” “What’s going on?” It was all about that “Princess Diana” 15 foot train. It was so long that I got partway down the aisle before it caught on the door behind us.:)

I still don’t know who the kind soul was that detached me from the door, but I’m thankful for them. This is one of my favorite shots of the day- the “glitch” turned out awesome.:)

15 years ago it was the hottest day of the year, I was wearing a gown with long sleeves, 5 layers of fabric and no a/c in the church. The veil over my face was like a sauna tent……but it was the best day of my life. I made the best decision of my life that day and married my sweetheart.

Our first date was at the Greek Ball in college in Ohio almost 18 years ago, it’s so hard to imagine it’s been so long! I assure you that I was a child bride since I can’t possibly be that old!

Thanks for going on this journey with me, baby. Our blessings are many:
