I’m always so thrilled when I get to photograph extended family. This lovely is my cousin….well, my cousin’s daughter, so does that make her my second cousin? Whatever….I think she’s amazing and she’s my family.
Our scheduled shoot date came up against a ton of rain, but we had to push through it and continue with the shoot because we were just out of dates and up against deadlines. The Pittock Mansion ended up being the perfect solution for us. There’s a good amount of covered area for us to run to and shoot under when needed. And all year round this place is just drop-dead gorgeous! I was shocked at how busy it was this day, even more than it is some days in the summer!
On to gorgeous Kayla:
There was so much damp fog in the air, but I thought it just added to the eerie aspect of this old classic building.
Fierce.
The rain really gave me a reason to pull out the umbrella that I’ve been holding onto for the right day….perfect for this!
This might be my favorite.
Just as we were finishing at the mansion, the clouds began to part. So off we went to the Rose Gardens.
I just adore her sweet smile and laugh. Thanks for everything, Kayla!
