Practically identical DNA | Portland newborn photographer

I haven’t heard of a story like this very often. My little sister Mary married Pat, a great guy! During the wedding preparations, my brother Mark got to know Pat’s sister much better. And they fell in love!

So, in my family, we have two siblings from the same two families married to each other! I photographed Mary and Pat’s baby just over a year ago when he was born…you might remember this cutie:

And now Mark and Mandi have had a bouncing baby boy of their own! He gave us a real scare when he was born, came out not breathing. But he’s home now and is very healthy and strong.

Congrats to the happy family! And thanks for the new cousins, my kids love having baby cousins to hold and coo at!

And now on to explaining my title. BOTH baby boys have double cowlicks. How cool is that!!!

Mark and Mandi live on a farm, with lots of animals, but I think that the horses are the favorites by far. Mandi’s only request was this shot:

Full disclosure…no worries about this babe, his dad was holding tight to him the entire time. Photoshop magic takes away the evidence of a hand…safety is my highest priority!

Newer photographers who might be reading….never take a chance!

Three generations. Awwwww.

I LOVE the soft downy fur that newborns are born with. Check out these shoulders.

BIG feet on this guy!
