Mellisa and I went to school together. She’s too kind to mention that she was a year younger than I (or was it two?), but we kind of grew up together, even were in the same Girl Scout troop, in neighboring tiny farm towns down near Salem. So it was so great for me when I started bumping into her up here in Portland. I saw her at a couple of gatherings, and it was so fun to catch up with each other.

I’ve been so excited to hear that her amazing catering business (Relish) was doing so great…..so great in fact that she is opening up a gorgeous restaurant! And I was honored to be asked to photograph her new place!

Cathy - I love the pics of Melissa holding all the beautiful loaves of bread. What a class act. I also like the pictures of the little girl in pink holding her cupcake and then with her other little friends at the table. So wonderfully cute!
