Lexie is from out of state, but spent so many of her years growing up here in Portland, it was really important to her to have her senior session here. She is beautiful, but also has a great head on her shoulders, she’s looking to study law next year. I hope you get your #1 college choice, L!
Ok, everyone I photograph ends up with flawless skin by the time I’m done with them, but there are few who start out that way….Lexie might be the exception.
Her one request was Powell’s Book Store, a landmark here in Portland. I’ve shot here before, and they are always so nice, but this time I talked to Chris and wow, was I lucky I did! He made special arrangements to open the rare book room for us and allow us to shoot there.
The books on the table here are amazing volumes, stunning to see and I was amazed that we were able to use them. Just some of the titles we used: First Book of Jewish History by Josephus. This was written in the 14oo’s, and was an information revolution which rivals that of the internet today. Lewis and Clark Journals (First Edition), First Centennial History of Oregon and that tiny book was hand-bound by Virginia Woolf herself! (Hopefully I got those details correct.) But it was amazing!
Her all-time favorite book.
I love the natural laugh!
Bye, Lexie, it was great to meet you….all the best in your future!
