musings about wine and a gorgeous family | Portland family photographer

I walked into this shoot looking for my wine buddy. Paul was on a wine tour with us and a bus full of our friends a couple of weeks ago and (thank goodness) agreed to be our own personal expert for the day. He taught us ideas about wine such as “does it make your tongue feel dusty”? Why, YES, Paul, it DOES make my tongue feel dusty! How did he know that….ahhh, it’s the tannins, ok!

Will and I are not very well-versed in wine yet, to be honest, we’re not that far removed from Boones Farm screw on caps from our college days. But we’re eager students, and Paul was a great asset to us that day as we faked our way along.:)

I was thrilled when I realized that my wine buddy was already on my shooting schedule and that I was going to meet his family. But somehow I didn’t hear him tell me how gorgeous they are….check it out:

She could not strike a bad pose….I could photograph her all day!

Sweet charmer.

The kids were so kind to each other!

She is always behind the camera, and I wanted to be sure to capture her in a special way.

And now for some love……

Thanks guys!

dsr - What gorgeous kids (and parents). You did a great job of capturing them. So many of these photos to love! Really…. just great connection you captured! I think I like the first two best. And the picture of Dad and daughter. And the picture of kids and Mom. Never mind. I give up trying to choose….
