Such a joy to look into all these gorgeous little pairs of eyes, one by one, each so completely stunning in their own way. Maybe I’m a little too sentimental recently, but it’s such a privilege to be a photographer, to be able to take the time, as part of a day’s work, to really LOOK at a person.
And recently I was able to look into nearly 300 pairs of eyes when I photographed the children in a local K-8 school as a fundraiser. The prints were used as decoration during the auction and then sold to parents who were interested in them, 100% of the $ going toward the school. And as we did last year (check out the cool “rock star” themed shoot we did with the kids last year), we incorporated the theme of the auction into the photos. This year the theme was “Tropical Groove”, a very welcome theme in this very cold winter we’ve been having.
Here are examples of each class:

I’m sure I don’t have to go on labeling, you get the pattern.
For the 8th grade, we were able to find a very generous dad who allowed us to use his amazing, amazing classic red convertible for an extra-special treat for this graduating class. I could not tell you the model, (soooo not my forte`), but I can tell you it was such a beautiful car, and really made these images!
Two examples from 8th grade….I couldn’t help myself.
